Camera is able to be redirected to VDI for the purpose of video conferencing. By the concern of network bandwidth, the camera redirected will work with resolution of 320 x 240 by default.
This resolution is adjustable to fit the actual requirement and bandwidth allowed. To do so, a Horizon bundled GPO can fit the purpose.
The first step to make this happen is importing Horizon bundled ADMX template to the AD. You may refer following post of how to doing so.
After that, you can actually creating such GPO.
Open Group Policy Management of the Domain.
Create a new GPO and assign a name for it.
Navigate to "Computer Configuration" -> "Policies" -> "Administrative Template" -> "VMware View Agent Configuration" -> "View RTAV Configuration" -> "View RTAV Webcam Settings". And you will find 5 GPO policies relating to this setting. You can enable corresponding policy by your need.
My example s creating a GPO with following configuration.
Default resolution of 1280 x 720
Maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080
Maximum frames rate of 24
"Default image resolution height in pixels" can defined the default height of the camera resolution.
"Default image resolution width in pixels" can defined the default width of the camera resolution.
"Max image height in pixels" can defined the maximum height of the camera resolution.
"Max image width in pixels" can defined the maximum width of the camera resolution.
"Max frames per second" can defined the maximum frames per second of the camera.
After that, you can assign the GPO to the OU where the VDI VM sitting.
